11 Months Without You, Mitcheal ❤️

Just like yesterday, exactly 11 months ago today, you took your last breath and finally rested from the troubles and the unexpected turn your life took at just four months old—a consequence of the error of man that haunted our lives for 14 years.

It is painful that you left. I would have wanted you here, growing into a teenager, thriving, discovering yourself, becoming more independent and living life with less of the dependency that defined so much of your childhood.

But amidst the pain of losing you, there is also a quiet comfort in knowing that you are finally free from the troubles, pain and afflictions of this world.

In a strange way, your departure also took away one of my greatest fears—the fear of what would become of you if you grew much bigger while I became older, weaker, or someday was no longer here to care for you. I carried that question in my heart for years.

I still wish you were here. I still wish I could hear your voice, see your smile and watch you grow.

There is so much I could say, but today, I will simply say:

Keep resting, my darling.
You fought a good fight.
You brought light into our lives.
And your light continues to shine.

11 months without you, but never a day without your memory.

❤️ My Mitcheal. My light. My forever darling.
